The Toyota Prado has been designed with the same DNA as the legendary Land Cruiser and is truly worthy of its’ claim as ‘Master of Africa’. With the introduction of a new, more powerful 2.8-litre four-cylinder turbodiesel engine to the range and six-speed automatic transmission as standard on all models, there’s always more to explore in this 4x4.The Prado is well known for its’ toughness and relentless ability. It also offers superb cabin comfort and can handle the most extreme terrain, being the only vehicle in its segment to feature a ladder frame chassis that is more durable as well as being twist-resistant.
To add to its all-conquering ability, the Prado’s fresh exterior design boasts a formidable new front with a bumper that is robust enough to protect the power unit. To provide the best view of the road ahead, the bonnet contains sculpted concave sections. To protect your Prado from any damage during extreme off-road driving, the grille and LED headlamps have been positioned higher and inwards. The VX-L models feature full LED headlamps with Daytime Running Lights and Auto High Beam function which switches between high and low beam angles to accommodate the oncoming traffic. To announce its’ presence, the Prado proudly shows off its’ raised bumper and imposing 18-inch wheels (17-inch wheels on the TX models).
Inside the new Prado’s spacious interior, you can choose your own path – be it in the city or the outback! The crafted cabin boasts plushleather seats in black or natural beige* on the VX and VX-L modelsand thedriver and front passenger seats can be adjusted electronically. For increased space and loading capacity, you can fold down the 3rd row of seats in all models,which is power-operated in the VX & VX-L models. With dual-zone climate control, occupant comfort is guaranteed – plus it can be independently operated for the front and rear of the cabin.
